For me, abstract art is an attempt to paint the energy of a thing or pattern. Some artists consider abstract more truthful than realism because the artist must express their truth in marks, color, and design. Before anything is physical, it exists in the non-physical as abstract patterns, like blueprints. Painting that is what lights me up.
An abstract definition: The quality of dealing with ideas rather than events. Something pulled or drawn away. Abstract art is art that has moved away from painting objects of the ordinary physical world in order to show something beyond it.
Your art piece is on a canvas panel which is flat. I choose to work on these because there is so much layering and pressing that it needs to be flat. These floating frames are a fantastic way to frame and hang your new artwork. They come in:

If you are in the San Diego, CA area you are welcome to arrange a time to pick up your artwork.
All artwork is shipped USPS ground or UPS
Regarding shipping: Depending on the size of your artwork and weight (wood panel, canvas, or paper), determines the shipping cost. In the shopping cart the art is categorized as "small", "medium" or "large" for an estimate of shipping. You will see this in the checkout process.

Small: approx. $20
Medium: approx. $50
Large: approx. $120
Outside of US International shipping charges will apply and calculated individually. If you live outside the US, International shipping charges apply and are calculated at the time of shipping, we will let you know via e-mail what that charge is before we ship. Please be aware we will need your e-mail confirmation before we ship the artwork to you.

It is standard practice for artwork to be priced by square inch. For example a 12 x 12 piece is 144 sq. in., then that number is multiplied by a dollar amount generally between $2 - $10
